соц., пол. возвращение [оживление\] улиц* (уменьшение автомобильного движения на улицах и создание условий для нормальной жизнедеятельности людей, в том числе для общения, игр и т. д.; в 1996 г. Д. Энгвич (David Engwicht) заметил, что скорость автомобильного движения зависит от поведения людей на улице: когда люди начинают избегать улиц с интенсивным движением, автомобили начинают ездить быстрее, люди еще больше избегают улицы, автомобили ездят еще быстрее и т. д.; таким образом, нужно людям нужно "вернуться" на улицы, чтобы "вернуть" эти улицы себе; в 1999 г. Энгвич опубликовал книгу "Street Reclaiming" с изложением способов, которыми люди могут вернуть себе улицы (оживить их) даже без поддержки городских властей; он предложил два типа стратегий: reclaiming through activity (приближение жизнедеятельности к дороге, что замедлит движение машин) и reclaiming through design (создание оригинального, постоянно обновляющегося "интерьера" улиц, который превратит их из "коридоров" в "комнаты", что также замедлит движение машин))See: -
